Graduate Teacher Exemplars
The resources here were developed using the NESA Professional Experience Framework. All the resources are arranged into two standards- Working Towards Graduate (WTG) and Graduate Achieved (GA). The resources are intended to be used in a developmental growth model that focuses on the mentoring steps supervising teachers should take to help the teacher education student move to the next level.
Note: Some of the graduate standards descriptors require students to actually demonstrate that they have met the level through their practice. These descriptors are represented by videos of teacher education students’ classroom teaching in this resource. In contrast, the descriptors that require a demonstration of knowledge and understanding are represented by videos of teacher education students talking about their knowledge and understanding as well as via documentary artefacts. These sources mirror the types of evidence that supervising teachers can employ to assess teacher education students on professional experience and guide their next steps.
