- Conducting an observation of her supervising teacher’s lesson and engaging in discussion with her to develop knowledge and understanding about characteristics of the students.
- Collecting data before her first lesson with a Year 10 Maths class in order to make adjustments to her lesson based on the students’ characteristics.
- Using activities such as “All About Me”; a pre-test using a Socrative quiz (and printed copies), which was used during her first lesson to collect further data in order to develop an understanding of the physical, social, and intellectual development and characteristics of the students.
- Adapting and revising future lessons by using data collected in the first lesson.
